This is where I keep those plugins.

The other day I was on Twitter and I threatened to write up a blog post about the plugins I use to put this blog together because I was changing plugins in and out for a few hours, but I didn’t think anyone would be that interested. Well, someone called my bluff and said that they would be interested to see it, so here are my current plugins:

Akismet: Filters out comment spam.

Backupify for WordPress: Backs up the WordPress database on Backupify’s servers.

Dagon Design Form Mailer: Creates a contact form for the site.

Dagon Design Sitemap Generator: Creates a sitemap that Google crawls, improving SEO.

Google Analyticator: Sets the site up to work better with Google Analytics.

PollDaddy Polls: Allows me to create polls like I did on my last post.

WordPress.com Stats: Generates stats on an ongoing basis.

WordPress Database Backup: Redundant with Backupify, but this backup is emailed to me daily instead of stored on Backupify’s servers. So, that also gives me a copy on a different email server than my website exists on and one on my MacBook Pro.

WP Super Cache: This caches the site to reduce load on my server and speed up the loading of the site for visitors.

WPtouch iPhone Theme: Creates an easily readable mobile version of the site for all mobile devices, not just iPhones.

I have a few more plugins that I intend to install later, but this is where the site is right now at this early stage. If there is any interest, in a few months I might post about which plugins I add to (or remove from) this site.

Anyone have any incredibly useful plugins that they love and would like to share? If so, please chime in on the comments below. I’d love to hear about some great plugins.
